Victory View Vineyard, owned by Mary and Gerry Barnhart, continues to grow and gain attention for its award-winning wines. “We’re doing something different – making wine only from northern grapes we grow right here on our farm. Thanks to ‘buy local’ community support and growing recognition of our wines, we’re experiencing steady growth,” says co-owner Gerry Barnhart. The Upper Hudson Valley Wine & Grape Association is pleased to announce that five of our member wineries were awarded medals at the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition (“FLIWC”), which was held March 29-30 in Rochester, NY to benefit Camp Good Days. UHVWGA members’ hand crafted wines exhibit proven quality, as their wines were evaluated by a prestigious group of 75 judges standing alongside 3,756 other wines entered from 20 countries. The wineries earned one Double Gold, three Gold, 15 Silver and 14 Bronze medals at the competition.
