Recently, the folks behind the Adirondack Wine and Food Festival gave us a little preview into the much anticipated, Lake George event. The Festival is the first of its kind in Lake George and will be held at the brand new, Charles R. Wood Festival Commons on June 27th & 28th, 2015.
They told us that the beauty of Lake George would be our backdrop, but when you see just how beautiful this space is in person, it truly takes your breath away. The festival space is surrounded by the scenic Adirondack Mountains on all sides and is set just across from beautiful Lake George, the Queen of the American Lakes.
To say that there will be wine and food is clearly an understatement; The Vendor List has grown to an outstanding 38 vendors! Wineries, craft breweries, distilleries, cideries, gourmet food vendors, food trucks and specialty vendors are traveling from near and far to participate in this event.
The Festival will host Swedish Hill Winery and Americana Vineyards, visiting from the Finger Lakes Region, Thousand Islands Winery from Alexandria Bay, as well as Upper Hudson Valley Wine Trail wineries such as Adirondack Winery, Amorici Vineyards, Oliva Vineyards, Victory View Vineyard, Ledge Rock Hill Winery and Halfmoon Cellars Winery. Each winery’s table will be set up for you to “try before you buy” so that you can sample their delicious, hand-crafted wines and purchase your favorite bottles to take home with you!
This event is not just for wine lovers; there will be a clear representation and appreciation for the entire craft beverage industry at the Adirondack Wine and Food Festival. For that reason, several local breweries, distilleries and cideries were invited. Adirondack Pub & Brewery, Davidson Brothers Brewing Company, Harvest Spirits Distillery, Lake George Distilling Co., Springbrook Hollow Distillery, Nine Pin Ciderworks and Slyboro Ciderhouse will all be present showcasing, sampling and selling their products.
For all of you foodies out there, there will be plenty of gourmet food vendors providing delicious samples to pair with your wine, beer, spirits & cider. From olive oils, cheese and crackers to gourmet sauces, maple products and dutch apple pie, it will be hard to keep your mouth from watering all day! Be sure to arrive with an appetite because Pies on Wheels and The Hungry Traveler will also be there to fill you up and keep you going throughout your day!
Experience all the best our region has to offer, and get your summer off to a fantastic start in Lake George, NY – make sure you come see us at the very first, Adirondack Wine & Food Festival on, Saturday and Sunday, June 27th & 28th! You won’t be sorry and neither will your taste buds!
